How it works

Contact us to get started
Reach out through our contact form or by phone and let us know you'd like to donate a vehicle. We'll connect you with our vehicle donation partner.

Schedule free pickup
Our partner arranges free towing or pickup at a time that works for you — no need to drive the vehicle anywhere.

Vehicle is sold
Your vehicle is sold at auction or directly. The proceeds are sent to Community Storehouse to fund our food programs.

Receive your tax receipt
You'll receive an IRS tax receipt within 30 days of the sale, documenting the final sale price for your deduction.
Tax deduction info
Vehicle donations to Community Storehouse are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. If your vehicle sells for more than $500, you will receive IRS Form 1098-C documenting the sale price. If it sells for $500 or less, you may deduct the greater of the sale price or fair market value up to $500. We recommend consulting a tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.
